There has been a surge of spamments lately. Oh, those are 'spam comments'.... spamments. I just made that up right now...can you tell? lol... I know it's dumb.
I like to reply to comments because I like to read what you have to say. Simple. If you take the time to reply, so should I. That's my current thought pattern anyway.
Due to an increase (everywhere it would seem) in spamments, rules have been altered.
- If I do not know you or have not seen you on another blog, I will delete you if you have not left a comment showing that my post has been read. (Specifics folks, specifics! Not just 'Cool blog'; come visit me at.....)
- Which brings me to the next thing. Unless you are not a blogger member, your name will become a direct link to your site in the comments. Please don't use me as an advertising site. I don't do it to others and expect that in return. Your comment will be deleted, unless of course I do know who you are then I will just silently wonder why you feel the need to duplicate the link.
- While I believe in freedom of speech, not on my blog...lol. I was going to try to ignore the spamments but fuck it. Everything has been pissing me off so why give the little spammers with fake-ass sites the benefit of the doubt? This space is mine. Don't like being deleted? Then go elsewhere.
- For the few that may be new to this blog and might have the bad luck to get deleted due to a general comment, I do apologize. I truly love hearing what everyone has to say and like to visit new blogs. If I delete you and it is unwarranted, I do apologize in advance.
So that's all for that. I just get irritated that my time and space, and your time and space gets sucked up by idiots. I love being able to flap my jaws (er, digits) here and find it to be a source of disappointment and aggravation to get spamments. Fucking spamments.

I left a post on your other earlier post and see it's gone...or maybe I screwed it up and didn't leave it, won't be the first time that happened, unless you consider me spamment?!

I hate those spam comments too, and I seem to get a lot of them. Sometimes it's hard to tell a legitimate comment from spam. I don't mind if someone just says they like my site, and that's about it, but if it links to a site that's primarily selling something or in another language or has pop-ups, I'll delete quickly.
Point 2, regarding your header, I LOVE Canadian bands! Especially Great Big Sea and The Rankin Family!

I hate comment spam, luckily enough I use wordpress and have it up so that anyone who hasn't commented before has to have their comments moderated, it can be hassle, but much better than a hundred or so posts featuring winderful messages such as tgirl transexuals, casinos, mortgages and those innane "cool blog" spamments.
I also have my blacklist...

Rose - Some of them can be kind of difficult to tell from a regular comment... until you visit 'their blog'. Knowing you, you'd invite them to the rowhouse for coffee. =)
Terri - Are you serious?! Bootyliciuos is in there?! Then I want to see spamments damn it! Feel free to use the word as you see fit.
Chicky - The thing that did it for me was getting 6 comments, one on each of the 6 previous posts all from these young girls within one minute of each other. All the blogs were less than a month old. Just irritates me. But Canadian bands on the other hand... WooHoo! I've been trying to convert others, too...lol.
Anne - That had me laughing so hard! Before you know it there will be a new reality show based on cyberspam...
Fence - Yes! Most of the blogs belonged to young girls who listed 'titties' as their interests. Eesh. So annoying. Seeing that I have next to no patience for stupidity, I may check out this Wordpress thing you spoke of. Oh, and 'you' also have a big gun...lol.
Greg - No lie; I never ate Spam. Not even for it's, uh, nutritional value. But now I have that MP Spam song stuck in my head! Aahh! If I had a dead parrot, I'd beat the spammers with it! =)

eeep! been having a few of these lately. how do they get past my bionic fence?
I had a spamment come to visit me the other day. We had us a right splendid time... downed a bottle of JD and watched Internet porn amongst other things.
However, he went too far when he remarked on the "size of my penis", so I drop-kicked him into the next universe.
He also mentioned that one of his mates could get me a University degree for free, but by then I was not listening anymore.

Well, so far I guess I've been lucky...I haven't had any spamments yet. I did have someone once leave a VERY nasty comment about a picture I posted (of myself) so I decided to not let anyone post as an "anonymous" blogger so I changed it so "anonymous" bloggers couldn't comment on my blog anymore.
I figure "Hey, you want to comment, fine. But at least have enough balls to let me know who you are, you fucking coward."
Sorry...stuff like that burns my ass worse than any three foot flame could ever do...;)
I don't know if I ought to feel pleased that I don't get Spamments or depressed that I don't get any sort of comments.

Tom - Welcome! Too late... I already visited your site! It looks like alot of fun. Most comments are authentic, just like anything else, there is always someone that finds a way to screw it up. And spamments were born...

As far as the Spam God... yeah, I go around pissing on people's shoes and never once did I realize it was the Spam God. Meh. As for your song... lol. Geez, it's a spam, spam world. Though maybe it's because I like spam... eating it, that is. 'Round here, spam is a bit of a luxury item. Crazy, I know, but I just love eating it with wheat bread and mayo. Yum! (Sorry, had to mention it as it's lunchtime and reading your post made me hungry.)
Still, look at the bright side, LW. Maybe you're getting a lot of spam because you have a lot of visitors/comment-hits? Likewise, Blogger comments makes it easier to drop-kick spamments whereas Haloscan (which I use) seems impossible. *gulp!*
And didn't Microsoft just hit a spammer where it really hurts? Talk about the big bad done good. ;-)

Banzai - Who is this commenter? Is this the one that laughed at my, uh, PMS 'situation'? Will I be forced to delete this?...lol. I've never tasted Spam once; then again, I am a bit of a wimp with certain foods. I have heard it's actually pretty tasty but I'll take your word. As far as the other spam... why can't HaloScan manage it? Either way, they are getting trickier as they make it appear as if it's a real blog. If you compare them, they are almost all identical and only about 6 weeks old. Pity.
