Meet my Mojo...

Today has brought with it the unexpected (and unwanted) surprise of my Gram going to the emergency room at the hospital. I think she'll be alright but it's upsetting nonetheless. She's being admitted as I type this. At age 85, these things become more serious.

As I sat on the edge of the bed just thinking about the situation, I felt something tickling me. Enter stage right: Mojo and what have to be some of the world's biggest whiskers. Yep, that's my boy; those whiskers get to the destination before the rest of him. Soon to be 12 yet often acting like he's two, he always makes me feel better.

Proof that I do indeed have 'mojo'...

Like I said just last night in the post, I have to draw my own attention to good things when everything else seems to have gone a bit nuts. Blogger must even know this because this is the first time it's let me post pics, well, since the last time I posted pics, I guess, and I've tried numerous times. How's that for logic?

Ok, off to call and see how my gram is doing then to work.

You need to include a long shot. I want to see him rising.

NMOTB - Thanks very much. Mojo isn't much for the camera but I need to get a whole-body pic, he looks like a raccoon!

Luke - Ah, thanks doll. The Monkey Boy and I appreciate it.

Jason - I should know more Wednesday after some tests, thank you.

Tigress - Thanks. I think Mojo's whiskers may be longer than Fush! But I bet Fush has tons of those wispy ones! ;)

Kyknoord - Lol, you make me laugh, boy!

I can see why he's your mojo - he makes me wanna cuddle him and I don't even like cats all that much (more of a dog person, me). Hope your Gram's ok soon

argh!!! I just wrote this nice long comment and when I went to send it blogger reminded me that I need to sign in with my google account which caused my comment to vanish!!

which brings me to my first point

I'm pretty sure blogger was pulling the typical 'technical difficulty' trick by making it nearly impossible to post pics... in order to get us to voluntarily switch over to the new beta thingy

I hate change!!

anyway... those ARE some LONG whiskers!! your Mojo looks just like my Grandma's cat - he died about a year ago when he was 18!!

I'll have to try to dig out a picture to show you - they could be brothers

I hope your Gram is ok!! I'm sending out good thoughts her (and your) way =)

I agree with you, anytime they go in the hospital at that age it's scary. Glad it sounds like it is going to be allright. Hope she's safe and sound back at home shortly.

Now that's a cat. Love those whiskers.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. All I can say is that you have my cat and I want him back at the end of the day. He's closer to 14 and he's got some arthritis in his 2 front elbows, but he's my bud and you can't have him.

He looks EXACTLY like my cat.

Terri - Then you'd like Mojo more than most cats; he likes to greet you at the door just like a dog and will follow you everywhere. Thanks for the well wishes.

illyria - Thanks hon; Mojo sends a special 'headbutt' your way. That's his way to say thanks.

Kitty - You know, I had that happen when I tried to leave a comment on another blog and it kept booting me out. Eventually I had to sign in another way! I'm so behind on things I don't even know what the deal is with the beta thing. And you never know, maybe they are family! Moey was a stray so he's never come fully clean about his lineage. ;) Thanks for the good thoughts.

John - Things were a bit scary but she seems to be doing ok and should be home soon. Thanks! Yeah, Moey's a pretty substantial guy... especially the whiskers!

Memphis - Thanks, Steve. Now, as far as having your cat, you can't make me give him bac... uh, er, I mean, whatever do you mean? ;)

Hope your gramma does well. I just lost a gramma recently and it's quite psyched. Hang in there.

Bean - Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm so sorry to learn of your loss.

Annelynn - Thanks so much. It's always good when we realize the importance of family while they are here with us. I'm sure he misses you as well. As far as Mojo's whiskers, yeah, they are pretty phenomenal! Just glad blogger was playing nice that day.
