It's been a bit strange lately. Not bad, just strange. You may wonder how I can tell this particular strange from any other that I experience. Ok, let's put it this way. I spent two hours at work tonight with the distinct smell of a freshly unwrapped roll of toilet paper stuck somewhere in my nose (the smell, not the toilet paper). But that's not the worst of it. And I have a really hard time admitting this, but... I like a Justin Timberlake song*. I'm tellin' ya' - something fishy is going on around here!!!
I'm about to spontaneously combust, too. That's another thing. Well, most likely I really won't, but I feel like it. A couple of posts ago I mentioned some 'Hurry Up & Wait' scenario which should make it's full potential known by week's end. But wait, there's more (in corny infomercial announcer voice)... there is now a second HU&W situation. Either in direct correlation or conflict, I'm not sure which, with the first one! Oh well, it should all play out soon enough then I can talk about it instead of being vague. I'm refraining from discussing it because then I'll get all worked up and really spontaneously combust. I don't want to do that; too messy. Plus, who would feed my cat?
*Erm, it's the sixth/seventh one down... I can't help it, it's pretty freakin' hot!!! I can't believe I like a JT song, what is this world coming to? It's madness I tell you. Madness!!!

I was discussing this with one of Sam's aunts recently - they had some music channel on the tv and all this crazy music was on - including some Paris Hilton song (I didn't even know she did music... not that you can really call that music)
I was completely unfamiliar with everything that came on - they couldn't believe it... but seriously I wouldn't even know where to go to listen to that sort of thing if I wanted to... I suppose there are radio stations that play that stuff... I hope I never stumble upon one - I might have to blow up my stereo!! hehehe

Hurry up and wait. That sucks! Maybe you could do experiments on how long you can hold your hand in an oven to take your mind off of it. I don't know. Works for me.
Chitty - Yes! That's pretty much what leads to the spontaneous combustion, I mean, ME liking a JT song is just unheard of. I think it's because it has an almost techno beat and I lurvs me some techno. Oh yeah - white girl dancing/grinding alert!!! I'll shamelessly dance to any 30 minute remix of a techno song!
Kyknoord - Lol... that's how I feel - this is the worst. I'm 36 and like a JT song. Hell, maybe I can bring back Menudo while I'm at it.
Anne - I know, I hang my head in shame. It was hard to admit it; I need a 12 step program. He may be talented, it's just SO not me. Oh man, or maybe it is... Gah!
Kitty - I tend to agree, this is the thing that has cemented my induction into the world of insanity. Paris Hilton sings? Help us all. See, this is not at all what I like to listen to. Problem is that in the car, my fingers can't stay off the 'scan' button...ever. Couple of times I caught a part of the song and it has a bit of a techno sound so that caught my attention. It wasn't until last night when I googled the lyrics that I found out who it actually was. Trust me - I was shocked. And in denial. I better go watch that link you sent!!!
Terri - Lol, just watch out if I try to start dancing like him - I'm sure to hurt myself then. And if I end up in the ER with a sprained body and head trauma, I refuse, REFUSE, to admit how I hurt myself trying to dance like JT!
Jason - Yeah, maybe this is his only claim to fame. Well, in my mind anyway. Hand in the oven, eh? You really are trying to speed up my spontaneous combustion, aren't you? ;) Seriously though, this is taking alot of patience on my part. I don't 'wait' well.

By the way, did I ever mention that I used to have a terrible fear of spontaneously combusting? Seriously! What with my fear of fire, when I first heard that there was such a thing it worried the crap out of me for ages!!! In fact, yes, I still get the heebie-geebies when people talk about it.
So please don't. Spontaneously combust, I mean. I don't mind if you talk about it.
