Because the fabulous Banzai Cat asked... I shall answer. (There is a good chance he, or anyone else, will never ask anything of me again after reading this...!)
The Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don't forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says "You have been tagged" (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.
This is of course assuming I have any weird habits... {ahem}...
1) I believe my fate can be told by holding my breath, not blinking, or spotting a red car. Example: While in traffic, if I can avoid blinking until the light turns green, I won't die that day, or succumb to leprosy, or have my ear fall off. Of course it's never anything good, but hey, it's worked so far...
2) When getting ready to go somewhere, I cannot get ready then sit around. I have no concept of time; therefore, I must do everything I can/need/want to, then (and only then) leave just enough time measured out for me to get ready before walking out the door. If I try to reverse the process I'm messed up for the entire day. This is frustrating to others and has made me perpetually late in the past. The habit remains but I'm better at being prompt.
3) Despite having several deadbolt locks on my doors, when I get out of the shower and dressed, I do a walk through of the house for signs that no one has gotten in while I was in there. I'm not sure what makes me think they are patiently waiting somewhere as opposed to coming to attack me while I'm in the shower.
4) I must always have a supply of spring water with me at all times, close at hand. Home, work, my car - you name it. Even if I am just going to the store, it's there beside me. If I forget it, I pull over at the nearest store and buy a bottle. I cannot fuction without it. I do not live in a desert, but I may as well because I'm convinced I need it. I've been like that for more years than I can recall. On the bright side, I'm well hydrated.
5) Unless I absolutely must, I never use my real name. Not even on my email account. I'm paranoid over the fact that people can find and identify me so easily and have an actual alias that I have used for years. When I can get away with it, I use it.
So there you have it... a few odd habits of yours truly. As if you needed any more ammunition to peg me as 'weird'. Now, as far as tagging.... I think I will.... Besides, Banzai says I have to! =)
And the (hopefully willing) winners are:
Jarvenpa - There must be some quirks in that beautiful writing!
Heidi - Certainly you saw this one coming...
Prisoner - Just because I'd love to get in your head.
Kitty - You knew I'd pick you!
Bean - Simply because you are a nut... =)
Well, thanks for playing... please leave some spare change in the tray as you exit to help fund my next therapy appointment...

No, no, no. You missed the point of the tag. You have to put down your weird habits.
ok so I'm thinking it might actually be possible for me to just paste your answers onto my blog - SERIOUSLY!! hehehe
that makes you EXTRA weird!!
I have so many weird habits it will be hard to narrow it down to just 5
my weirderst habbit is waking up exactly at 6:30 every single day with no exceptions! no matter when I sleep or even if I don sleep & I am dying due to insomnia I got only until 6:30. My body has set it's alarm clock & so far I haven' managed to find the knob to stop it :-S
Number 1 sounds very familiar. And I agree with kyknoord, it's not weird at all!
I think we've all done #1 at some point... right?
It's #5 that I'm fascinated by... is that just in the Cyber world or does it extend to the 'real' world too? I always worry about using my real name online anywhere too, I'm just not imaginative enough to come up with an alternative. I think I'll set myself the task of Finding My Online Identity. I think it's a great idea!
terri - I don't know about her but I use a fake name for EVERYTHING!! on and off line
I get mail addresed to 'princess kitty pants' or some variation of that idea - I use certain names for certain things - not only because I'm super paranoid but also that way I know who's selling my address haaaa
I'd say you are perfectly normal, by my standards at least. Not that I have any standards... which would be totally weird.
#1 has me floored, especially the bit about the red sports car. You must be a Ferrari fan.
many of those sound familiar to me, as my personal habits, but you probably knew that already. ;)
number 1 ..me too;)
Ok, #1 is weird and after reading it again #5 can also be weird, the rest not really. So, that means you have to do it again and give us 3 more weird things about you.
I can't even think about 1 weird thing about me, how utterly boring I must be.
Kyknoord - If you find all of those to be within the realm of normal, perhaps you are a little weird yourself! ;)
Kitty - Heehee... paste away, my friend! Somehow I'm not too surprised by this revelation...lol.
Dr O2 - That is strange! I'd be in big trouble because I sometimes don't go to bed until 3am or so. Perhaps you could try pressing your nose as a sort of 'snooze' button? =)
Anne - Ooh, another slave to #1? Great! I don't have alot of 'habits' actually - I change things too frequently to get in the groove of any one thing, so it was pretty hard to even come up with these. Hey, maybe that's another?...
Terri - #5 is anywhere. It started when I didn't want one particular person to find me (my name is very distinctive and easy to find) and it just went from there. I've used fake name tage at previous jobs. At first my boss freaked and refused but I explained that I'd be the only "____" there, so it would be fine - they'd know who customers were talking about. Ever since then it's grown. Anything that isn't a legal document (er, and a few that sorta are...) are subject to 'The Alias'... =)
Kitty - We may have been separated at birth. That's all I'm gonna say. =)
Heidi - Wow, I knew I've been doing a terrible job checking blogs but to have missed it? Now I feel like an ass...lol. On the bright side, you've turned your homework in early! I'll have to go back and take a peek.
Chitty - {Cough} Standards? {Cough} heehee! I cannot recall a time in my life when I did not do #1 (wait, that sounds weird). Although I do know someone with a yellow Ferrari... it's hell when I'm at their house... I don't blink for hours... =)
Rose - I'm sure you can identify with some of them, not surprising, hon! Oddly, my habits are so much a part of me (as are anyone's) that it's difficult to pick them out!
Foulla - Yay! Another #1 person here! (Must be carching on... ;))
Buddess - Lol... oh no. You aren't getting 3 more from me! I determined that although I have a million and six little (and big) weird quirks about me, 'habits' are harder for me to define. I mix things up to often and don't really settle into huge habits, so it's just my general day to day living that is quirky. Behaviors as opposed to habits. Oh come on, if you can put up with my rambling that's at least one weird thing about you right there...lol. =)
well...that was interesting! I did post my 5 odd traits (it was difficult keeping the list to only 5, let me tell you) and tagged 5 others (after much difficulty figuring this whole thing out)...we'll see if anyone I tagged goes with this.
I love reading further confirmation of your weirdness, you weirdo you! :-)
I totally understand #2 as I do the same thing but I tend to time things right and am not generally late. To me, getting ready with lots of time to spare is a complete waste of time - much better lying around doing f-all or reading or sufing or whatever until it's just about time to go , THEN get ready.
There.
I have done your bidding and passed on the curse to other poor souls. Took me a long bloody time i can tell you.
Jarvenpa - Your list was great! And I got to learn about what makes you tick, which is even better! =)
Nomad - Me? A weirdo? Never! haha... I can't even fool myself with that! I'm glad you see #2 as a 'normal-weird' thing, too. I'm much better at being on time but it drives people crazy that I can't get ready first. Oh well, they are wrong, we are right. =)
Prisoner - 'Done my bidding'... hey, I kind of like that. I know what you mean, it took me forever to do mine, too.
Ah! Finally! :-)
Hehe me several times over numbah one! Mine's a variant though as I veer more to luck. ;)
And I'm so totally with on number five. :-D
And don't worry... us "weirdo" must stick together!
Banzai - Looks like number one is something several can identify with. So, are you insinuating that 'Banzai Cat' isn't your real name? ;)
